Welcome to Go Full-Time RVing
We’re Rob and Lisa – full-time RVers, adventurers, and National Park lovers.
Hi everyone! We’re Rob and Lisa, the duo behind Go Full-Time RVing. Rob is originally from Forest Grove, Oregon, and Lisa hails from Nashville, Tennessee. We met in Las Vegas, Nevada, through a hiking Meetup group in April 2013, started dating in May 2014, and tied the knot in front of a dramatically erupting Old Faithful in October 2021.
We’ve now been living life on the road full-time for over six years — chasing scenic views, hiking epic trails, and uncovering hidden gems all across the U.S.

Why We Chose the Full-Time RV Lifestyle
While living in Las Vegas, we had a great launching point to explore the West’s incredible National Parks. But eventually, we found ourselves joking, “Maybe we need to move East to see the rest!” That lighthearted thought turned into serious conversations about RVing as a way to see more of what we love.

The more we talked, the more we realized: Let’s do it while we’re still young and healthy enough to enjoy it. We’ve met people who waited for retirement only to face health issues or the heartbreak of losing their partner before they could chase their travel dreams. We didn’t want that to be our story.

So, we made the leap. Yes, it was scary — but it’s brought us endless joy, freedom, and adventure.
Our advice? If you can go full-time now, don’t wait. Just go.
From Tent Camping to Class A Motorhome
We started out as tent campers, but eventually sleeping on the ground just wasn’t cutting it. After researching everything from travel trailers to fifth wheels, we found our perfect fit — a 2019 Thor Challenger 37YT Class A motorhome. It’s our rolling home on wheels and basecamp for all our adventures.

Along for the ride is our sweet chocolate lab, Sierra, who’s just as outdoorsy as we are. She loves swimming, chasing balls, watching wildlife, and — of course — eating!

Adventures, Challenges, and Living the Dream
One of the biggest benefits of full-time RVing is that we can stay longer in places we love and travel at our own pace. We’re not rushing through vacations — we’re living the lifestyle.
Of course, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. One of our biggest curveballs came in early 2020. We were just a few weeks away from crossing into Canada for an epic road trip to Alaska when COVID-19 hit. Campgrounds started canceling left and right, and we weren’t sure where we’d end up. Thankfully, South Jetty Thousand Trails in Florence, Oregon, let us stay for 10 weeks — way beyond the typical 21-day limit — and helped us weather the early storm.

Our Mission: 50 States and 400+ National Park Units
We’ve made it a goal to visit all 50 states together and every National Park Unit in the U.S. In March 2025, we checked off our 50th state, and as of now, we’ve visited over 300 National Park sites — and counting!
How We Fund Our Travels
Our travel lifestyle is supported by a mix of income sources:
- Rob’s Navy retirement
- Rental property income
- Workamping gigs across the country
- A small — but growing — trickle of income from this website
Every bit helps us keep rolling, exploring, and sharing.
What You’ll Find on This Site
We created Go Full-Time RVing to share our story, offer practical RVing tips, and highlight the incredible places we discover. Whether it’s product reviews, campground breakdowns, gear guides, or unforgettable hikes — we hope to inspire others to hit the road and chase their own adventures.

If you ever have questions or just want to say hi, drop us a comment. We’re always happy to help, share what we’ve learned, or just chat about RV life.
And hey — if you know of any cool out-of-the-way places we should visit, send them our way!
All the best,
Rob, Lisa, and Sierra
