Nestled in the hills above the Russian River, this Northern California RV park gives you the best of wine country and nature. You’re just minutes from:

Campsite Details

We stayed here March 2–9, 2020, in our 38′ Class A motorhome. Some sites are tight or sloped, especially for today’s larger rigs, but we found a level, spacious site with plenty of room for our motorhome and toad.

⚠️ Heads up: No full hookups. You’ll have 30-amp electric and water, so come prepared to manage tanks accordingly. Propane is available onsite.

Poison Oak Alert

We chose not to walk our dogs on the trails due to poison oak being quite prevalent. If you’re bringing pets or young kids, take extra care when wandering off the main paths.

Amenities

✅ The Good

• Restrooms/Showers: Dated but very clean and well-maintained. Cleaned daily.
• Laundry: Each restroom building has a washer/dryer. $1.50 per load. Pay with coins or a phone app.
• Lodge & Store: Small store with basic supplies. Friendly staff.
• Playground: Kids’ play area with a climbing wall and tetherball.
• River Access: Kayaking, canoeing, rafting, trout fishing, and swimming right on the Russian River.

❌ The Not-So-Good

• No Full Hookups: You’ll be relying on the dump station.
• No Dog Park: Not pet-unfriendly, just no off-leash space.
• No Pool or Spa: But the river makes up for it in summer.

Final Thoughts

Russian River RV Campground is a peaceful and scenic place to stay while exploring California’s wine country and redwood forests. It’s a no-frills park with natural charm and helpful staff, but larger RVs will want to scout for level spots, and those needing full hookups will need to plan accordingly.

For us, it was a relaxing and affordable Thousand Trails stopover with great access to some of Northern California’s best hidden gems.
