If you’ve recently bought an RV and stocked up on all the must-have gear for the road, there’s one critical safety device you might have overlooked: a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Blowouts are no joke—they can cause serious damage to your RV and put you and your loved ones in danger. A TPMS like the TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System can alert you to sudden pressure changes before disaster strikes.

In this review, we’ll cover how the TST 507 works, what’s included in the kit, our personal experience using it, and why we believe it’s a must-have for full-time RVers.

What is the TST 507 TPMS?

The TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System, made by Truck System Technologies, is a wireless TPMS that tracks both tire pressure and temperature in real time. It’s compatible with a wide range of vehicles—including Class A, B, and C RVs, trailers, 5th wheels, trucks, and toads.

Why it matters for RVers

Your RV literally rides on your tires. Proper tire inflation and temperature monitoring are essential not just for safety, but for protecting your investment. The TST 507 provides peace of mind by giving you live updates on tire health, so you can address issues before they become expensive or dangerous.

How the TST 507 Works

The system uses individual sensors mounted on each tire to read pressure and temperature. These readings are sent wirelessly to a dashboard monitor that continuously cycles through each tire.

When a problem is detected—such as a fast leak, low pressure, or high temperature—the monitor:

  • Locks onto the affected tire
  • Emits an audible alarm
  • Displays a text alert describing the issue

Coverage

The TST 507 supports up to:

  • 115 tires
  • 4 trailers
  • Multiple sensor types (flow-through or cap sensors)

What’s Included in the TST 507 Kit?

Here’s what you get depending on your sensor choice:

  • Installation Tools & Anti-Theft Hardware
  • Color Monitor – (TST is one of the only brands with a full-color display)
  • Your Choice of Sensors – Flow-through (for metal stems) or cap sensors (for rubber stems)
  • USB/DC Charger
  • Signal Repeater
  • Rubber Dash Mount
  • Suction Cup Mount

Our Review and Setup

We went with:

TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Flow Thru Sensor on our 2019 Thor Challenger Motorhome
TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Cap Sensor on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler. We now have them on our 2023 Ford Bronco.

Installation Experience

The setup was simple. The sensors screw directly onto the valve stems, and programming them into the monitor took just a few minutes. The color display is bright, readable, and shows exactly what you need—when you need it.

While our Jeep and now Bronco have their own built-in TPMS, they don’t work when towing. That’s where the TST cap sensors really shine—they let us monitor toad tires from the driver’s seat of our motorhome.

Portability is a Plus

One of the biggest perks? The system can be moved to a new RV and Toad. Just unscrew the sensors, reprogram the monitor, and you’re good to go.

Maintenance & Customer Support

Each sensor (both flow-through and cap) runs on a CR1632 battery, which typically lasts about a year—but ours went nearly two.

When it came time to order o-ring replacement kits, TST’s customer service was outstanding. They personally called to verify our shipping address and shipped the parts that same day. It’s rare to get that kind of personal touch these days.

Final Thoughts

Wrapping this up, we highly recommend this great monitoring system to all RVers. The TST 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System is an invaluable tool that will help keep you and your family safe on the road for years to come.

If you only invest in one safety gadget for your RV, make it the TST 507 TPMS. Here’s why:

✅ Easy installation
✅ Reliable alerts for pressure or temperature issues
✅ Expandable to additional vehicles or trailers
✅ Transferable between RVs
✅ Excellent customer service

No matter what type of RV you own—motorhome, trailer, or 5th wheel—you need a TPMS. And in our opinion, the TST 507 is the best one out there.

Note: Flow-through sensors must be used on metal valve stems. If your vehicle has rubber stems, choose the cap sensor version.
